Healthy Babies Project, Inc. Oakland

Healthy Babies Project Inc. is a community non-profit agency that provides a wide variety of services to pregnant and parenting women who have a substance abuse problem.

The goal of the project is to increase the chances of women having normal weight and to reduce the rate of infant mortality. The project has residential and day treatment classes. Women are provided with treatment, support, and education ranging from basic life skills to computer training. They are given monthly projects witch allow them this opportunity to research subjects and discipline themselves to complete the project and continue to expand their knowledge and resources.

Emphasis is on helping women maintain a clear and sober life and to help them provide stable and healthy environments for themselves and their families.
